What’s in a name?

We are called and.

Its a simple reason why.

  • Its a great coaching question and creates intentional pause.

  • and. Is all about helping

  • Its always with not more, a necessity in todays day of more more more.

  • It says what we do, we help you add and.

  • We wanted a word that connected you to your leadership dna .

  • No one size fits all and is all encompassing.

Your name, your story, your power.

A name is never just a name. It’s a decision, a definition, a mark.

It’s given to us before we even understand who we are. Our parents choose it, maybe because it carries meaning, maybe because it sounds right, maybe because it belongs to someone they once knew. And from the moment it is spoken, it becomes something more.

A name shapes how the world sees us. It’s how we introduce ourselves, how we sign our stories, how people call us when they need us. A name can make you feel seen, or it can make you shrink.

Think about it. Have you ever met someone with the same name as an old bully from school, and suddenly, you feel something? A name carries memory. It carries weight.

Maybe you’ve changed your name, reshaped it, shortened it, or reclaimed it. Because names have power, and sometimes, the one we were given does not fit who we are becoming.

And it’s not just personal.

In business, a name can be the difference between being remembered and being forgotten. It can make people stop and ask questions or pass by without a second thought. A name can invite people in or leave them uncertain.

A name has impact.

What if you want to change it?

So when it came to rebranding our 20 year old coaching business, we knew it had to be more than a title. It had to be a statement. It had to feel alive.

And it had to be and.

What’s in a name?

Everything.

Our name isn’t just a label, it’s a statement, a philosophy, a challenge.

For nearly 20 years, we have been evolving, not just in our coaching, but in how we work with people, challenge thinking, and create real change. Our brand name did not come from a brainstorm or a branding exercise. It came from doing the work, asking questions, testing what we thought we knew, and most importantly, listening.

Because and. isn’t about us. It’s about you. It’s about what comes next, what’s possible, what you choose to do, and most importantly, what you give yourself permission for.

Why and.?

Naming a brand isn’t a quick decision. It’s trial and error. It’s discussion. It’s testing, adapting, evolving, and knowing when something feels right.

We asked ourselves:

  • Why does the business exist in its current form?

  • What problem do we solve for the people we work with?

  • How do we actually help?

  • What if… (because transformation isn’t about what is, it’s about what could be)?

  • What do we need permission for, from ourselves and from others?

We did the internal work. We asked our clients. We asked anyone who would answer. And the answers weren’t what we expected.

Originally, we thought our purpose was about life balance. But the people we work with saw it differently. They told us, repeatedly, that our real work was in helping them get unstuck.

And that changed everything.

The power of and.

When we really listened, we saw a pattern.

“It’s coaching and therapy.”

“You make me think and help me be me, all of me.”

“The tools mean I have a simple way of helping myself and my business and it works in my personal life too.”

“You let me see my leadershit and ways and how I could make the differences to my leadership that helped everyone and me!”

It was always and.

We weren’t offering just one thing. We weren’t selling a single, fixed solution.

We were creating space for what’s next.

And that’s where permission comes in.

We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Coaching is never about following a single method. It’s about developing tools, frameworks, and processes that work for you, in a way that makes sense to you, so that when you grow, the people around you benefit too.

We help people not just act, but pause and ask for permission, from themselves, their environment, their own values.

  • Permission to change.

  • Permission to stop and rethink.

  • Permission to step into what works for you, not what works for someone else.

So we tested it. We ran our decision through our toughest questions:

  • Does it solve the right problem yes

  • Is it how we actually work yes

  • Does it force action, but only when the action is intentional yes

Because and. is more than a name. It’s an invitation, a pause, a permission slip.

and. as an acronym

If you want to go deeper, because coaching always does, and. isn’t just a word, it’s how and why we are.

  • A is for action, but not just any action, the action you give yourself permission to take

  • N is for now, because real transformation isn’t delayed, it’s conscious, in the present, and intentional

  • D is for different, because permission to change means permission to think, act, and grow differently

And if you’re not in action, if you’re not acting now, if you’re not thinking differently, thenfor most of our clients they are stuck..

Your and.

We don’t believe in passive learning.

We don’t believe in jumping into action without intention.

We believe in asking first.

We believe in and.

Your and. is your permission slip, your commitment, your command, your decision-making process.

My and. is showing up today and doing what works for me.
My and. is choosing my own path and making it fit for me.
My and. is making the tough call now, not later, but only because I know it’s right for me.

It’s the moment you stop overthinking and start owning your choices.

Because whatever challenge, opportunity, or obstacle you’re facing, there’s only one question that matters.

and.?

(What will you do? What will you give yourself permission for?)

Why the full stop?

Because we believe in the pause, the intentional stop, the space before action.

We coach people to stop, listen, think, and then move.

A person who doesn’t pause and ask for permission is a person who reacts, not one who chooses. The full stop forces reflection. It demands clarity. It means you don’t just ask and?, you actually answer it.

So, what’s your and.?

Oh, and there is a little bit more

and. is dna backwards.

I would love to say that was intentional, a deliberate stroke of brilliance, but it was not. It was a fabulous outcome, and yet it fits perfectly.

DNA is what makes us who we are, coded into every part of us, shaping us at a foundational level. But just like DNA can evolve, adapt, and transform, so do we. That is the essence of and.

Every single day, we choose how we show up. We choose action or inaction. We choose to be present or to be stuck in the past. We choose to embrace what is different or to stay where we are.

That choice, that daily decision to be more, to think more, to do more, is what turns survival into thriving. and. is not just a brand name, it is a commitment, a mindset, a process. It is about thriving, not just surviving. It is the daily decision to grow, to push beyond what was, and to lean into what could be.

Because every single day, you get to decide.

and.?

Dig deeper… want more?

Digging deeper we explore the elements of and. not just what each letter stands for, but its layers of meaning, contradictions, and relevance in coaching, leadership, and personal mindset and internal work.

a is for

action.

Action is movement, decision, doing.

  • Action is also inaction—the hesitation, the avoidance, the procrastination.

  • It’s the survival loop you get stuck in, the rinse-and-repeat of bad habits, the excuse that keeps you from moving forward.

  • . Action is not just doing more, it is about being. It is about best self, understanding, and awareness of why you choose a certain way.

  • It’s about choosing intentional action over reactive busyness.

  • It’s knowing when to push forward and when to pause and reassess.

  • Action is the small daily decisions that create momentum.

  • It’s about breaking patterns, making choices, and committing because without action, nothing changes.

n is for

now.

Now is presence, the moment, the decision to be here, fully engaged.

  • Now is also about what holds you back, the past you can’t let go of, the future you’re too afraid to move towards.

  • Now is mindfulness, the awareness of where you are and what needs to happen.

  • It’s the reset button that stops overthinking, removes assumptions, and clears the noise.

  • Now is where growth happens,it’s not stuck in old stories or lost in future worries.

  • It’s about recognising what you can control today and acting on it.

  • Now is clarity, ownership, and accountability, it’s the moment you realise the only time that matters is this one.

d is for

different.

Different is new, uncomfortable, uncertain. But different is also difference, the shift in thinking, perspective, behaviour, and outcomes.

  • Different is unlearning what doesn’t work and stepping into something that does.

  • It’s seeing beyond old patterns, questioning assumptions, and breaking out of predictive cycles.

  • Different is not just change for the sake of change, it’s growth, innovation, and adaptation.

  • Different is what gets you unstuck, moves you past limitations, and shifts you from what was to what can be.

  • It’s the willingness to see things another way, to challenge default thinking, and to build something better
